Meet Hayley

Hayley MoriarityHayley Moriarity RMT

Hayley grew up in Victoria and attended West Coast College of Massage Therapy (WCCMT). Graduating from the program in 2015.

Before starting her own practice, Hayley worked at a multidisciplinary clinic for over five years. During this time, she integrated various forms of healthcare into her treatment plans and collaborated with other healthcare professionals as patients' needs evolved.

After five years, Hayley drew upon the lessons she had learned at the clinic and decided it was time to establish her own practice. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she saw an opportunity to refine her skills while providing care for individuals in care homes and assisted living facilities, many of whom had neurological conditions such as cerebral palsy, Parkinson’s disease, and dementia. She also supported those working from home and managing family life during the pandemic.

Hayley believes that deciding between your health and what you can access shouldn’t be a decision that you need to make. This is why Hayley frames her approach to treatment around working with her patient’s wants, needs, and abilities to achieve positive results: advocating for her patients where needed to help achieve their goals and bringing in other healthcare providers as needed.

Hayley has brought this patient-centered approach to her new home and clinic in Castlegar, BC. Here, she has expanded her services to include care for pregnant and post-natal individuals, creating a calming and safe environment for all stages of care, while still serving the general population.

When she is not treating patients, Hayley enjoys exploring the Kootenays through hiking, biking, climbing, and camping. She believes that engaging in these activities helps her better understand her patients' concerns. Hayley also teaches group fitness classes at the Castlegar Complex.
